Chandler Digital Echo Question

I have just recently purchased the chandler. My question is when I power it on, I get a very loud thunking noise. I also get it when I use the high cut out from time to time. I am afraid I am going to damage something. Is that normal? If not were can I take it to have it looked at for a reasonable price. I run all my rack stuff through a Furman conditioner. I leave the power on for all my components and use the conditioner as the main power switch. Is that also ok to do? Thanks.

I do the same thing with the Furman power conditioner. I just leave everything switched on (except for the power amp) and flip the Furman switch to power everything up at once. I've never heard a popping noise from my chandler echo with the power switch or the high cut switch. Is there any noise from the unit if you just leave the switches in the on position when you power up or after everything is powered up? If not, I wouldn't worry about it.

No, there is no noise once it is on. Boy when I turn it on using either the Furman or by itself. I get a loud pop. It's loud. I have my preamp getting modded by Egnater, so I am running it though an effects loop on my Randall Cycone I'm using as a spare. Maybe that has to do with it. I was just currious.

I've used a Chandler Digital Stereo Echo for about 15 years now (the grey-ish color one... not the later black ones). Never had a problem with noise. HOWEVER I always use it with the high cut ON. Also, I NEVER use the modulation/chorus stuff.
