Changing Amp Voltage

Does anyone know how much it would cost (roughly) to change the voltage of an amp bought in the USA from 120 to 220 volts? Is it just better to buy a transformer for the amp?

Buy a converter...although if it is a Fender, an export 220 version of the PT may be available from a few vendors (Angela comes to mind...). Add in the cost of the PT and the labor---a converter is probably cheaper.
