Changing Epiphone G-400's pick-ups, config question

Re: Changing Epiphone G-400's pick-ups, config question

the 59n, for instance, can get too bass heavy and boomy in a Les Paul, but not in an SG, so I would not worry about having a Demon in the neck. It is a powerful neck pickup though, and sounds a bit more like a bridge pickup than a lower powered neck pickup.

But the Demon isn't as "powerful" as a '59.

Demon = 500mv,
'59 = 593mv

Thanks guys, then I think I'm going to stick with my first choice, 59n and SH6 Distortion. That sounds good to me and is exactly in my budget, even with nickel cover :)
