changing JB to.....

ok guys.. I'm going to change my JB, but I don't know with which one of the Custom family... currently the JB is in my fender.. Alder body, SSH, locking tremolo (not flyod rose), maple neck, and rosewood tremolo. can anybody help me choose between the 3 customs??

buy a custom and an a5 and a2 magnet and you'll have the best of 3 worlds! you can swop them around and see what you like best.

well, here in my place I don't know where to buy the magnets.. I have Custom in my basswood guitar.. It sounds great in it, but I don't know how will it sound in alder body.. I'm playing rock music at the most.. any suggestion??

start with the custom and hear what you like or don't like.

you can get a2 and a5 mags from www.ampge.com or www.skguitar.com. steven kersting is the man to look for.

I'll always recomend the CC for strats, and If you go with a C-5 use 250K pots.

Never tried the custom.

I had a jb in a strat with the same config (rio grande tall boys neck and middle). At the time I thought this was heaven, then I got tired of the mid range spike. Needless to say, I took the jb out and replaced it with a 59 and loved it so much that I replaced the neck and middle pup (sold them) and converted the guitar into a H-H with just 59s and a mega switch from stew mac. It's my favorite ax to date!!
