Changing out pickups on my Gibson 325 (maybe)

I have a 1972 Gibson 325 that I absolutely love playing. It's really a toss up between it and my PRS Pauls for which one I grab first. I've had it about a year (1 1/2?) and despite how much I love the feel I have just never loved the tone. It's ok; maybe just a little thin. It's growing on me but I am half thinking of changing out its mini-humbuckers for something with a little fuller tone. I'm looking for suggestions.

I don't even know enough to know what I can change them out with. Someone on another forum where I posed this question suggested P-90's. Are they the same size? Or other mini size pickups that are somewhat fuller? I don't want to do any routing or modification to the guitar. I don't care about devaluing the guitar; I will never sell it. I just don't want to tear it up. Nor would I. I'm sure if and when I change them I will pay someone to do it.

I'm just looking at what my candidates are for different pups and suggestions. Primarily it is used for blues & blues/rock. And just home use. I'll never gig.

P90s are not the same size. Mini humbuckers have a pretty specific sound, and without doing some major surgery, I'd recommend to do a little reading on what Seymour Duncan has available here. My first thought is the Custom version, which will be fuller sounding, but listen to clips yourself, and see what you like.

I thought Gibson minihumbuckers (Firebird excluded) originally were two Melody Maker singles in a hollowed out P90? If true, P90's should fit where minis were previously.

Just go to all the pickup makers sites and work it out for yourself

So that's your help? You took up the forum space, bandwidth and your typing time to tell me "go work it out for yourself"? :33:
Thanks.
