Changing PUP's

Hello All!
I just purchesed the most wonderful Bass I have ever layed my hands on: A 2001 Peavey American made Millenium. Absolutley phenomenal!!! 35" scale 4 string, maple neck,Pau Ferro F-Board , Alder body, Hip shot hardware, Active pups and 4 band active EQ. The pups are a J style neck and a MM bridge and thats what i want to change.
My question is would the J hot stack And ceramic MM be compatible with Peavey's Eq or does that have to be changed as well? The EQ is bass, mid, mid shift and treble.
Thanks in advance and God Bless

Re: Changing PUP's

I'm not 100% sure but I would think an onboard EQ designed for active pickups would probably not work well with passive. But I defer to the experts...

Re: Changing PUP's

Well, My Jackson C4MJ uses passive Duncan Designed J and MM Pups with a Duncan 3 band EQ with a slap switch so as far far as passive with active goes,it works. I'm just wondering about the Duncan/Peavey combo
