Re: Charvel Fusion in the works :D

Sorry for waking you up :D:D

I´m almost done "satinizing" it, the headstock repair seems to have become slightly more apparent (or rather, the semi-pro touchup, a few light paint runs...), but I´m workin´ on it.

What sucks though is that I don´t have anymore AA batteries for my camera, but there´s a gas station around the corner :smack::D:D:D

...I'm pretty sure that all of those Charvel Fusions were a 24 3/4 inch scale (like a les paul).
.

Correct. This is what separates a Jackson or Charvel Fusion from a Dinky. Not the scooped horn, all "Dinky-Fusions" had that, but some Dinkys did as well. In fact, not really the shape at all because there are Fusion-Strats out there as well. ;)

They spray translucent colors over primer, and then spray an "incompatible" black over top of that. When the black shrinks, it starts to crack naturally, making each one unique as well- Then the whole thing gets clearcoated a few times, then sanded, then the final clearcoats. Gotta do it in this order here because otherwise you jun the risk of sanding away the cracks or even penetrating the black or color coats because of the uneven surface ;)

I have a similar effect on an encore i refinished, i wanted a pure white colour but for some unknown reason (something to do with incompatible paints/finish i used i guess) it got a similar subtle crack effect, i then rubbed some black acrylic paint into the cracks agot rid off the excess, producing a pretty damn cool finish :) .

Shame the Guitar plays and sounds crap... :smack:

Re: Charvel Fusion in the works :D

24 fret, 24-3/4" neck?! Weird ... I really think this guitar needs to be brought to the US now, for a full inspection/test run, before it makes it to you ... :laugh2:

I'm sure you'll love it Davey.

I've had a few Charvel's over the years and the toothpaste models are excellent. Just wondering, are you sure your ready for the sheer rock power that is the schaller floating trem :)?

:D

BTW, I like your sig Davey.

There's just too many wankers out there with a mentality that dictates 100w stacks, custom/signature guitars and quoting guitar God's in their sig's :D

that sig line has derived from a rather heated thread from last week .. my gear sucks, but it seems people like to make fun of other peoples lack of money so i put that line there

Re: Charvel Fusion in the works :D

Great hit! I have a Charvel right now and I still want my second axe to be one :P Though I still don't know how to play *sigh*
