I recently picked up a used Charvel Pro-Mod HSS DK-24 guitar. Looking at the pickup specs they have a SSL-6 RWRP in the neck. And SSL-6 in the middle and a Full Shred SH-10B in the bridge humbucker position. Looking at the pups on the Seymour Duncan website they recommend the SSL-6 RWRP in the middle position. Did Charvel screw this up?

No, they didn't. The deciding factor is to get the combination coils you want to be humcancelling. Sometimes that means you put the RWRP pickup in the neck.

No, with the particular coil selection, you would need a rw/rp in the neck. My HSS has rw/rp in the neck so all positions remain hum-cancelling.

No, they did not. The regular SSL-6 one in the middle will be noise cancelling with the slug coil of the Full Shred bridge becasue the slug coil of SDs are RWRP relative to SDs regular single coils. Then the SSL-6 in the neck is RWRP model so it will be hum canceling with the one in the middle and the screws coil of the Full Shred (which is wired just as regula SDs SCs). This was actually a good choice regarding polarity and wiring.
