Charvel San Dimas Usa So-Cal 2008 ?

Re: Charvel San Dimas Usa So-Cal 2008 ?

Yes I am doing exactly what you are suggesting. There was another specimen of these guitars up for sale and the guy was askin more than 2000 dollars. It is a Made in USA thing. Note that it is not USA here, nor UK or Europe, but a more marginal guitar country, so I think there is a chance he will be able to rip someone off. Or maybe it is just me, but Charvel is like a mythological object from the 80s for someone who is not closely familiar with the history.

If it is a Custom shop Charvel, it might be a worthy trade, definitely not if it is a Pro Mod. But on re-reading, I see that he said So-Cal so that would point to a Pro Mod. The US models were around $1200 new IIRC, so as BR said, might be an even trade for a LP Studio, but definitely not a Traditional.

I've had 10 of the pro mods. All USA and MIJ models. The MIJ models were superior to the USA guitars in almost every way. (Though I got a dead sounding MIJ Socal once.) The USA models had a different texture to the volume knob and the MIJ's had super duper rolled fingerboard edges- almost scalloped feeling. The USA Tele's sounded the best. If its any concern, I still own 2 of them. A red SoCal and the grey primer wildcard. Both MIJ.
