Anybody know which Charvels have the best investment potential? I heard that the 80's San Dimas with the Fender Strat type headstock are the ones to go after....Any idea on pricing and models?

Re: Charvel San Dimas

any of the san dimas strat heads are worth a bit of change if they are real and clean. good luck finding one...i've been looking myself since i'd love to own one. they also cost a pretty penny too.

Re: Charvel San Dimas

A clean San Dimas strathead STARTS at 5k, significantly more if it´s a verifiable Prepro And considering that there were less than 5k serialized and 1k prepros, finding one wil be hell... most are in the hands of private collectors or pros that still use them ;)

Re: Charvel San Dimas

I kick myself for selling my old black/maple necked strathead San Dimas strat, although I probably hurt it's value by adding a single coil neck route. JB/Hotrails is what I had in it.
They had a nice rounded C shaped neck, but the ones after that had wide thin necks and Jackson headstocks. One giveaway that it's an early original is that it has all brass hardware.

Re: Charvel San Dimas

man that sucks that you sold it GJ...i would trade my copper LP for a SD strahead any day. that's about the only guitar i would consider selling it for.
