Cheap + awesome poplar Hss NGD

You're displaying your ignorance again for everyone to see.

Not "nit-picking" at all. There is a big difference between split and tapped. It would do you well to look up the difference and find out for yourself so you can be more informed about what you talk about before criticizing and bad mouthing those who know better/more than you. Too many people don't understand that difference (like you) and use the terms incorrectly (like you).

I admit to being a bit OCD...I've never tried to hide that. There's no need to. But your narcissism, more often than OCD, is found in serial killers. Maybe that's something else you could be more informed about.

Oh, I forgot...you already know everything and everyone else is wrong about everything. Sorry about that.

Come now ..don't be so pissed. Maybe we could form a formidable trio (of serial killers). You with your OCD, Me w/ my narcissism (aka modesty), and Clint with his assorted perversions & fetishes.:bigthumb:

I just discovered that the push-pull pot for coil "splitting" (don't want to upset GuitarDoc again or he might get grumpy) is either a POS or badly soldered. When it's pushed down (full bucker I guess) there's not much output and the whole thing just sounds tinny and weak. Guess I'll have to open it up and take a look....

I'm genuinely surprised and perhaps a little concerned that you've bought several Strats SINCE buying a PIA, a frickin' PIA.

I'm starting to think that the PIA is being neglected.

Never bought a PIA. I have a Jem Woody (half the price). But no PIA and there probably never will be.. :lmao:

And funnily enough my mid-priced & cheap axes always get more playtime than my higher end ones (Ibby Prestige, YJM Strat, Jem Woody). I think that's cuz they're ($$$ axes) in their hardcases vs. the others that are out on stands. I'm all about making as little effort as possible when it comes to getting going w/ things.. (and in life in general) :laugh2:

My biggest concern about my rig is and always has been "ease of use" .I like to spend less time messing around/fiddling and more time playing/recording :bigthumb:

Plus I like variety &.some of my cheapest axes are also some of my best playing and sounding..so..

This one did'nt break the bank but a hiccup or two aside, it's a pretty sweet guitar:

Neck pup through my Laboga The Beast Classic 30/Vox 1x12. Mic'd w/ an SM57

Now moving onto different styles..

Slow blues w/ the neck pup...

It's kind of bassy but does'nt get muddy cuz of the hard-ish edge it has...actually very sensitive/responsive & fun to play :bigthumb:

^^ That takes care of the educational /informative side of things (so GuitarDoc can learn & improve w/o having to mess w/ his fave fat-ass theory book) :D
