Cheap but decent EQ pedals?

For an amplifier without EQ, just a tone knob.
My friend has a Roland microcube. She wants more control of her EQ (specifically more mids to help with pinch harmonics (see thread in the pickup lounge if you wish).
There's the MXR KerryKing sig EQ, the MXR 10 band EQ, the MXR 6 band EQ, the boss GE7 and the Danelectro fish and chips ( I think ). The dano is the cheapest of the lot. Which do you think is the best bang for the buck, and would an EQ give her satisfaction about the pinching (her technique seems ok, they just don't come as easily)?

The Boss GE7 generates some hiss if you crank the levels up but it's still a great EQ overall....That's what I use.

I'd go with the MXR 6 Band.... They can be found used fairly cheap on eBay. For easier pinch harmonics boost the uppermids.

I have the MXR KFK EQ and it is awesome. It has really thickened up my recto. It also produces no hiss, unlike some of the problems I;ve heard with the GE-7.

i have a $30 dano one

no complaints

it's hard to make a 'low quality' EQ pedal, and i'd say its just as good as the mxr or boss
