Cheap ceramic singles?

I was wondering how much worse these sound as opposed to say the APS's? I'm kinda broke right now and my strat has no electronics because i tore out the SCN/DH-1/S-1 assembly because the SCNs don't sound anything like what I'm going for. If I pick up a set of cheesy ceramic singles for dirt cheap will they be useable for a frusciante, SRV, hendrix etc type tone or will i hate them as much as the SCNS? i dont like how warm and fake stratty the SCNS are. is that what the ceramics sound like? im playing thru a silvertone twin twelve btw.

The MIM Standard Fender Strat pups will work. They have ceramic magnets and sound surprisingly good IMO with distortion and clean they can do the typical Strat sounds as well!!!!

I have some in my Peavey Predator and they sound fantastic. I didnt even know they were until today.
