Cheaper alternative to the Celestion Alnico Blues?

I am looking to replace the speakers in my newly acquired Vox with Celestion Alnico Blues or a clone of some sort, but I don't want to break the bank.

Does anybody have a recommendation that would be a little cheaper than $300 per speaker?

IMHO none of the clones out there really nail the tone of the current G12 Blues, or the old ones for that matter.

The Scummies are pretty close to the original 60's silver frame G12 alnico's but not exact and FWIW the new blues don't sound just like the old ones.

Best G12 clone's on the market right now are the 2 listed above.

I'd try the eminence red fang. handles 50 watts and can be has for 189.00 new at sam ash. I have a pair in a peavey classic 50 combo. awesome.

JMI's cabinets are now offered with these http://www.taydenspeakers.co.uk/tayden-ace-25.html and WGS also make clones of blues. Look on the used market as well sometime if you are lucky you can score them (it is getting harder to score cheap secondhand gear though)
