It's hard to see in the picture, but I think the homemade strap complete with dog-collar spikes has to be the worst part. :laugh2:

I completely replaced everything so I could go with the black hardware. I installed all that you can see, plus a hipshot tremsetter. I think it cost me about $450 in the end. I got the tuners as a birthday gift, so I'm just adding a rough estimate on those.

I redid one for my brother last year for Christmas, if anyone remembers. His was more like $80, but I only put $150 worth of parts into it to make it a Frankenstrat.

No, no....not me. I just meant that I had one just like it (minus all the stupid crap on it) when I was 14. I think it's still in the basement at my old bass player's mom's house. I might try to get it back...make it playable again.

I would! Those are great guitars with a lot of potential.
