I don't know if any of you guys actually remember me, I participated mostly a couple years ago.

But I have a new band and I just got our purevolume site going.

We are deathish metal...I suck at catagorizing.

*EDIT* LMAO great video...was that Satyricon in the backround? Very original and kickass site design, as well.

Is that an XXX behind the guitarist with the strat on the old page? I like XXX's...;)

Upon further listening...the vocals need to be mixed lower, and I'm not digging the whole reverbish effect put on em. And on even further listening, the guitar tones during the solo sound like nintendo games...no offense, just sounds kinda silly. The clean part rythm sounds way too much like the "Spiralling to the ground below..." part in Drapery Falls. The solo portion sounds a bit out of place, but cool nonetheless. I bet it'd all sound better with proper recording/mixing, and live.

Ok...and listening even further...(keep in mind, this is just song#1 so far) I really dig the clean vocal part, and the backing to that doesn't sound like Drapery Falls, just the other one.

Your drummer kicks ass. I'm downloading the 2nd track right now, so I'll comment on that when I listen to it...

hes extremely good in drums, guitar, and classical piano..singing tooo...extremely good at opeth playing

Yeah, really rough recording...we're HUGE amateurs. And yes, I use Peavey Triple XXX. It kicks SO MUCH ASS!!!

With the cheesy sounding guitar tone...it was because we foolishly used the line out on our amps. I had no idea it was such a bad idea. I really want to re-record and clean up the vox too. We are MUCH better live.

I wasn't into the mumbly grumbly vocals, but the clean part was awesome! The lead guitar sounds really fuzzy. That's not the XXX on lead, is it? All the instrumental stuff was really cool!

Alright, we've gotten a lot better at recording...mostly because of help from guys that know what they're doing. That and better miking. We're busting our ass to redo the demo and add a few songs to it so check back in about a week and we should have some fresh (better quality) stuff for you guys.
