I have tried it in one other guitar thus far (Basswood body) and so far I think it is over rated and over hyped! I have not liked the tone of basswood with any pickups though! Maybe it will be good in alder??????

The bridge ring came from Warmoth and the single ring came from Ebay. They can also be had at Setw-Mac IIRC.

I love it, although I can't help thinking it would be better with a maple board...

I would tend to agree but, I had this American Floyd Rose neck sitting around that needed to be used and needed a body in a bad way.

Odie, the official color is "Rainbow Colition Bootylitchous Tangerine Dream". Makes "those people" want to party in their underwear. I however, think your man enough to handle that, and show your Gheyness and wear it proudly.

Took you long enough. Maybe if you wouldn't go down to Jeff's house four nights a week you could get it done in a decent amount of time!


Looks great, though. It's a very unique guitar, especially with that neck pup.

I have one in my Strat ...Alder body wiyh an A5 magnet and it sounds great. If you go with a pot try both a 250 and 500, it makes a world of difference.

nice to see the body put to use. The color is "candy tangerine" from warmoth. The pics at warmoth didn't show it as glittery as it turned out.. that is the main reason i got rid of it.

What are you using pot wise for the hybrid???

250K on the volume and 500K on the tone, nice and crisp. I had 250 tone and volume and it sounded more like an A2 pup.
