You know, I might just have to pick this up. It's my birthday Monday, and I've never owned a decent, vintage Fender tube amp (sad, I know). What do you think would be a fair price for this?

Boy...I dunno. Under $500? $400? Seems like a pretty good deal for a vintage gand wired amp! The thing is, these hand wired Fenders are so easy to tweak and to work on compared to the cheezy printed circuit boards you see these days that a skilled amp tweaker could take an amp like this a LONG way. Truth is, for what'cha get, ANY of these hand wired Fenders can be a great deal. Lew

Yikes!

as if a Twin wasn't heavy enough! :(
better get a dolly for this one! :)

The Quad Reverbs come with wheels. :) But that won't help you get it up the basement stairs and into the back seat of your ride! :saeek: To much amp for me!

that thing's pretty darn good shape!
the caps appear original

the tube chart is a little peculiar, as one person pointed out, but not beyond Fender's frugal reputation for using everything, and wasting nothing

I expect this to go for well over the current price, though, as Deluxes are one of the more sought after amps.
Mine's a '56, BTW, and later ones like this probably have a bit more output.

A bona fide tone machine.

Yep! I posted that one just for you. :)

Re: Check out this Fender amp....

Just a bump! There are some great amps in this listing and many of them will go cheap...

Re: Check out this Fender amp....

This is a great thread, I've been wanting a bit more insite into what each of the vintage amps does. Thanks Lew!
