The second one looks like a fraud... I can't put my finger on it but the guitar doesn't look quite right for a '53. Plus if he got it and kept it in the closet for half a century then hes OBVIOUSLY not a player... and wouldn't know to value it at $30K
And he's got zero feedback and has been a member for less than 30 days. I smell a rat.
It always a safe bet that when you run across an auction of an authentic 50's Tele, there will be numerous photos taken. There will be a lot of detail shots too. Also, the guitar will be taken apart to show various manufacturing dates...

I hadn't checked out the first one prior. Geez, that is SWEET (Butch, you NEED that one!)! Not sure it's worth the price tag, but my God, check out the inlay work on that thing.

Heh heh....I think Marty Stewart has one like that one. Awhile back, I was looking for a really outragous signature type Tele design. Sadly, I tend to lean towards the more traditional types...

Who tries to sell a guitar for $30 000 with no feedback at all? If you're selling at that price you need lots of close pics also. I think this is a sketchy auction.
