It's NOT Immortal's backdrop, it belongs to whoever was putting on the FESTIVAL they were playing. Is it really that hard to figure out?? But why give it any thought, let's just **** all over Immortal for something they aren't responsible for.

Pretty brave on an outdoor stage, though. I'd love to see a gust of wind come in and blow the whole wall over in the middle of a song or something.

I want something like that for small club gigs. 20 foot stage with two fullstacks on either side of the drum riser.

There was a band in Cleveland back in the day that would do that too. I forget their name but they had like 4 full stacks each, all empty and have their combos sitting behind them.

Haha...It amuses me to no end that you actually took the time to do that...thats so saddly hilarious. Whats even funnier is, I've only heard immortal once. So I really don't care. I just wanted an excuse to use the words "Goblin" and "dick" together in a run on sentence that also contained the phrase "aids infected blood".

I like the effect of this, but it does look cheesy. Im an 80s metal fan, so I love the walls of stacks look.. If I had an actual practice room in my house, Id buy one of those murals you can put on the wall..

This kind of thing is actually pretty common. Even when bands use real cabinets all across the stage, they're not using all of them, if they even have speakers in them. This is a MUCH easier way to do it, without the bulk and weight.

It's called putting on a "show".

I was gonna say, you guys do realize it's common place and 90% of the Stage dress is pure BS at every show you've been to!?!?!?!? The Day and age of even one Marshall Stack is over.....we have "In Ear" and PODs now, you'd be suprised by what is actually on the other end of the guitar cable these days. But, it's awesome to see it it all it's cheesy Glory.

Hmmm, it's actually pretty interesting in my opinion. i realize it's been done many times, but it's still cool to see the way they go about it, IMO. the cabs/amps do look really thin from the side though. And he's actually only using 1 ENGL Powerball. There's nothing plugged into the input of the 2nd one. I guess the seond one just running incase of a failure to the first one...

i think it's really funny that you guys are all "Oh well it's not like anybody actually uses big stacks of amps anymore anyway."

Jucifer, SUNNO))), Boris, Torche, High On Fire and Zoroaster are just six of the bands in the modern heavy scene stacking up walls of amps and using them to their full capabilities at every ****ing show.

You don't have to believe me but it sure wasn't the bar's ****ty house PA making my hair and clothes blow back like a gust of wind was hitting my face every time their guitarists struck a chord.

If you have an amp on stage and you're not using it, you might as well put a cucumber in your pants because you're ****ing fake and lame.

Ha ha. I never understood why metal and rock bands always did this. I figure they're pushing endorsements. No one has a real stack like that except I hear the guy Yngwie Malmsteen actually does and you can't hear anyone else in his band either. I never heard him live but someone who tours with 20 real Marshall stacks must not have very happy bandmates.
