Re: Check that baby out!

These are built by a Canadian luthier called Mr. (don't know his first name) Heatley... He only does custom work and is one of the best if you ask me... His stuff rules.. He's located in British Columbia so he's close to some of the greatest canadian maple there is... His figured tops are all breathtaking...

Go check his work out at: www.heatleyguitars.com... He really is good, He's gonna build me a les paul someday... :32:

Re: Check that baby out!

Oh, I almost forgot: Prices start at 2200$ US for a LP style guitar, no options included (flamed top,etc...)

Re: Check that baby out!

Well, I made a quick calculation (I could be wrong on some options) but they would be around 3500 to 4000$... Quite expensive but soooo nice...

Re: Check that baby out!

Scott does some amazing work, and like Surgeon he's gonna build me an axe one day (I've never seen guitars that amazing in my life - not even PRS private stock or Custom shop Gibbys). Check out his other blue coloured guitars -

Scott's a heckuva nice guy who builds a fine guitar. IMO, he makes some of the coolest hollowbodies on the planet.

I met him at a NAMM get-together last January. Here's a picture of three of the coolest luthiers in North America: Scott (in the hat), Joe Driskill (in the orange shirt), and Ron Thorn (wearing glasses behind Scott).

Cool pic! I'm surprised those guys are so young. I imagined them being older.

My friend, Todd, who owns revolutionguitar.com has a Heatley Tele. I played it about a month ago, and was fully impressed. I love that guitar in your pic, although that 3 way being between those knobs would bug me. Incredible work!

Re: Check that baby out!

This is hilarious because I live in Courtenat, he lives a half hour drive straight up the road from where I live on Vancouver Island. I have Vancouver as my location beside my avatar because I was going to school there and now I'm back home on the island. I'll have to check his shop sometime.
