Chipped magnet

I dropped an A8 mag on the floor and it took a chip out of the corner. Is it still 100% usable or would it affect a pickup in any way?

The blow may have demagnetized it a bit. If the chip is small, I would figure it would still be usable though.

The damage is far too small to have any audible effect.

Just put it back and rock it like you mean it.

Drop it again but on the other side so the effect balances out.

I have a broken ceramic8, about 2/3 of the regular length. It barely touches all 6 poles. I am about to use it as short ceramic magnet in a JB and will report back about is as a a Distortion XXS with a short and a thin ceramic.

Cheers guys. It was a bit of a "oh no!" Moment, hopfully won't make too much of a difference. Hamerfan, I dropped the double chick ceramic from a DD and it shattered into about 10 pieces, you're more lucky than I was.
