Yep. Originally, the Ibanez 9-series was made by Maxon in Japan. These reissues aren't. They are analog, however, whereas the CE-5s are now digital. The initial release was analog. So in my opinion, the CS-9 is more lush and full (though not as overbearing as the EHX Small Clone). The Ibanez stuff is lower quality than the new Maxon (http://www.maxonfx.com, hit the "9" button), which features true bypass, and also blend and delay time knobs. But the Ibanez is thicker than the Maxon, and a little more full-frequency than the digital CE-5. Also, the Ibanez is about 1/2 the price.
JAL: Hope you like it! It's a very usable pedal and has a good sound to it.
