I should be getting my Celtic Caitlin (tweed Tremolux clone) on Monday. The first song I play through her is a big deal. What are your thoughts? Give me some ideas. I'll be playing a Tele directly into the amp.

For the life of me, I can't remember if that cover is the Magic Sam tune or the Otis Rush song "All Your Love (I Miss Loving)."

Actually, the Otis Rush tune would be just as good, perhaps even better.

Honorable Mention: "Mona" by Bo Diddley.

This tune is different from the one on Blues Breakers With Eric Clapton. You're thinking of "All Your Love," and that's an awesome song to christen the amp with. It's also one of the first tunes I learned by ear. I even learned the solo. Back then, I was glued to any tune Clapton played prior to 1970. Aerosmith did a cover of this tune, too, but it doesn't touch the Blues Breakers' version.

Already some really great ideas. So here's what I'm gonna do:

Once I get enough suggestions that I like, I'll pick my six favorites and start a poll thread. (Everyone loves polls.) Whichever one gets the most votes will be the song I use to christen the amp. What's more, I'll make a clip of it to share with y'all.

Is that Britney enough for ya, Scott? ;)

I'm trying to dig up a good trem song. Maybe some Robert Cray? Gimme Shelter? (is that even trem?)

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that's trem on "Gimme Shelter." Effing great tune, once again.

I wasn't really digging that Neil Young piece, although I like a lot of his stuff.

If you wanna go kinda soft....okay, real soft.... you can do that Chris Issak tune. I don't wanna fall in love or something like that. I've always loved the super clean deep sound of that guitar and the subtle trem use.
