Do the Chrome pickup covers on SD pickups change the tone much from having it uncovered? I have a Music Man axis and want to change the pickups to chrome covered CC/AP2 pickups and was wondering if the covers would be detrimental to the tone of the guitar
Some people say you can hear the difference. If anything, you lose a little bit of your highs, but probably not so much that the average Joe would be able to tell the difference.
