I don't really know what's the point of Cream re-uniting... Unless they start writing together again.

My understanding is that one of them lives just about in squalor. Reuniting for a few gigs is a decent thing to do to help a guy out.

Re: Clapton plans Cream's rise to the top again

If that's true it would have to be Jack Bruce because Ginger lives nearby in Castle Rock or Parker, Colorado and is doing just fine last I heard. He raises horses and I heard him sit in with Ringo Starr's Band a few years ago. He rocked the place! I don't know about Bruce but a buddy of mine, actually my attorney, ran into him at the that Texas Guitar Festival Clapton put on. They got drunk together and Huck told me they had a great time...though he thought Bruce seemed a little manic...SO much energy he wore Huck out. Huck said Bruce looked healthy and strong. Didn't give the impression of having any problems...money or otherwise.

He gets a liver transplant in summer 2003, and by summer 2004 he's getting drunk with Lew's attorney. Now that's rock n' roll!

I'd love to hear some new material from the trio. I hope it's not just a "let's make a quick buck off of what we did 30+ years ago" gig.

Clapton is a class act. This should be good.

If it wasn't for his influences (Robert Johnson, ect.) their wouldn't be a Clapton. He put his own stamp on the music and brought it to a new audience. Everybondy stands on someone's shoulders to get to the top. Guys like Van Halen have added to the music.
