Your TSL is Class AB. Other than the THD Bivalve, I can't think of a non-single-ended (i.e., >1 power tube) amps that is truly Class A. Most builders in recent years have spread confusion, describing their amps as Class A when they actually mean cathode biased.
For the super-layman, Class AB is like a boxer using both fists to work a speedbag.
Class A is when he does the final punch, with one right handed blow.

yeah, i picked up on those 'quirks' in the boogie write up too ... but i thought that it was a reasonably good beginner treatment of the topic to at least get him started
actually the univalve is the class A. the Bi-valve will function as a class A/B when driven hard. I just got a univalve and am exploring the intricasies of class A, and I like it.
