I disagree. How often do we see folks here who seem to insist that stompboxes be true bypass? I can't help but think that those builders who don't stretch the definition of Class A get passed over by some segment of market. They might love the tone but if they never try it 'cause it's not "Class A", they're not gonna buy it.

ok perhaps people are like that, I guess being a broke teenager changes your outlook on life. When I buy gear I know that I have a very real money limit and cannot buy another if I don't like it so I try out everything in the price range and get whatever sounds best to me.

Hey, don't say never... Mobile audio has voluntarily embraced the CEA-2006 standard to accurately measure the output of their amps...
