The Vintage Rails are basically the same, tone-wise, as theDucks....I have the Ducks in my main guitar I record with and I'll echo what the others have said regarding them being low output (i.e: vintage flavoured) but quite bright. I switched to 250k pots to tame a little of the icepickiness of them and they turned out great. That said, however, I'd suggest the VR's as the signal dropout between pole pieces when bending, or, if they don't line up correctly with your strings, is sometimes annoying....
