Cleaner tone in your Fender Hot Rod Deluxe

Since it is considered the most sold Fender tube amp i am assuming someone here has one.

Here is a quick tip for a cleaner tone with out breakup when p,aying with single coil Teles and Strats.

Take the plug and put it in the second input.

Cleans it right up. If you added a bleed cap you ca dial the guitar volume down and the who.e rig shines.

I do this with my deluxe reverb and my humbucker guitar when I want to keep things clean. I use the 2nd input with pedals too, for late night practice or if I'm just going for gobs of gain and want to keep it a little tighter.

I always plugged into the 2nd input when I had a HRDiii. I usually take the 2nd if there is more than one input.
