Bump + adding to the list of available stuff:

Gibson Melody Maker Reissue (2007) pickup and electronics (except output jack) $45

Epiphone chrome covered humbuckers. Labelled "HOTCH(G) LP Bridge" and "57CH(G) DOT: neck, bridge LP: Neck" $25 for both

Pair of no name Tele pickups - vintage brass-bottom bridge and covered neck $25 for both

I would also consider swaps for Antiquities or AP2s as well as trade bait in my initial post

Re: Cleaning out the parts drawer

at that price i may just outright buy your 498t... either way, would you be interested in a jb? i'll send it with whatever magnet you want, and in either the stock 4 conductor or braided conductor if you want that vintage appeal;)

JBs not my thing, but I'd be all over a Custom (alnico), 59, AP2 or Gibson 57 in a swap

i'm looking for the same pickups:smack::) i'll let you know later today if i'll buy the 498. btw will you take a money order?

Re: Cleaning out the parts drawer

Here are pics of the Gibson 498 I have listed above. Please notice the splice in the wire. Also it appears from the back this used to be a covered pickup.

EDIT: I unraveled the splice and as it turns out (contrary to my response above) this is a 4 conductor pickup. Additionally, the orientation of the wiring and the stamp on the back confirms this is a bridge pickup, even through the DCR reads 8.02K. Also, note it is a reverse zebra. I don't know if 490s were ever made as aftermarket pickups with covers or if this is an older 498, or what...

Interesting beast. Can anyone help?

And, please accept my apologies for listing an item for sale without fully understanding what it is I have.

Re: Cleaning out the parts drawer

i'm ok with that, i'm just going to be replacing the braided single conductor with 4 conductor anyways:)
edit: i just noticed that it's actually not a 498, rather a 490. sorry but i don't want one of those.
