Steel Wool jokes aside (I personally love steel wool and so does ICT's luthier hero Mark Erlewine) -as much as it kills him.

Mark is Dan's cousin, and lives and works down in Texas.
And Dan isn't my hero - he's more like an inspirational resource and fellow craftsman.
We used to talk at NAMM shows, guitar maker conventions, and on the phone every now and then.

That's cool! I look at both of his book at least twice a week. And I loved his old columns (which mostly became his first book).
