CLIP: Crybaby 535Q

So after letting my Crybaby 535Q collect dust for almost two years, I decided to actually play around with the settings (something I was too lazy to do before...:nono:). I figured the best way to see how expressive this monster could get was to translate vocal parts into guitar (ala Mr. Nunoslash ;) ), so here it is!

The "Wah Range" and "Variable Q" knobs are a godsend. The versatility from adjusting them can get you subtle changes in voicing, all the way up to completely ridiculous quack. I haven't tried a Fulltone yet (I have always dreamt about owning one), but this 535Q is my current fav. I feel ashamed for abandoning it for so long, all because reaching down to turn the knobs was too much work, hahah.

That's great! I love the pink guitar too.
It's my brother's Peavey Vandenberg signed by Alice Cooper himself :13: Super amazing guitar!

Thanks, Ocifer! I was a little worried that the leads had too much presence and overpowered the rhythm, but you know how your ears get after you listen to your recordings a million times...I guess that's why we have the Tips and Clips Forum, heh. :)

Cool mate!

Sounds much better than the crybaby GCB95 I bought some weeks ago. I think I will go for a RMC some day.

But yours sounds good!!

I used to have a GCB95 too. It was alright as a basic wah, but not much range to the sweep if you need variation of vowels. Have you tried the 535Q? One thing I really love about it is how it colors tone when you just leave it cocked in certain positions. Some wahs just sound like incomplete wahs when you don't rock it at least a little bit, so I like that the 535Q is extremely useful even when left un-rocked.

Thanks, Hames!
