Got few classic amps biatches!

Recorded few short clips. I use a telecaster with lil 59 tele bridge, which is growing in me. I used SM57 to computer with Sonar XL 2.0.

Blackface Deluxe: Flanger & Reverb added by Sonar

84 JCM800: Chorus and Reverb added by Sonar

Beat-up twin reverb: NO FX added. Stock reverb sound.

Any comment would be appreciated.

I love the clean tones you get out of the Blackface and the Twin. Superb playing, nice phrasing on the Twin sample :)

The JCM800 is not my cup of tea. Too heavy for my taste..but that's just me but it sounds good, no doubt :)

All in all, super clips and thanks for sharing.

Duunh, Daah "Touchin Yoooouuuuu" Duunh Daah "Touchin meeeee"

+1 to the Darkness on the JCM. All three clips sounded beautiful, that not quite cleanness on the Blackface was just a beautiful thing though. Of the three I liked the tone of Twin the least, oddly. Though the thing you played was catchy.

Cool stuff my friend. The effect on the BF clip was very fitting and I like that edgy tone you get.

The JCM800 tone is very thick and electronic sounding.

The twin is definitely the 'clean amp' of clean amps. :6:

Thanks for sharing :)

Re: Clips of few classic amps

Was that a stock JCM800? No pedals?
Sounds very thick, not like the JCM800's I've owned and played.

Re: Clips of few classic amps

Now could you explain exactly what that means, my friend? I'm curious.

:smokin:

Sonar offers various FX and one of them is FXChorus. It's more extreme than just adding a chorus to the signal. Options are single, double, triple and quadruple and many more. To me it sounds four guys are playing the same note at the same time with slight differences in pitch and timing. Didn't work very well for clean tones but it did wonder for distorted sound and drum tracks.

So that's not REALLY how your JCM800 sounds, is it? :fingersx: :laugh2:

Re: Clips of few classic amps

i've got to quit listening to clips...that blackface one now has me g.a.ssing for a flanger!!!:smack:

Re: Clips of few classic amps

jesus christ that's a fat and in-your-face sounding jcm 800, I love it, old school hard rock/heavy metal tone right there, but maybe a bit too digital sounding, any way you can make that go away? ;)

What speakers did you use?

Re: Clips of few classic amps

I really like the twin sound . . . very nice acousticy kinda thing . . .

Re: Clips of few classic amps

Good god that blackface with the effects sounded GREAT!

The 800 was cool but, the Blackface over-shadowed everything else!
