clips wanted: Dunlop MXR phaser 90 or EVH phaser 90

Yeah, I would like to hear some clips with the Dunlop MXR phaser 90, or the Dunlop EVH signature phaser 90 if you have some. And can someone tell me what the difference is between the two? They also have a significant difference in price.

Don't have any clips, but see this recent thread I started on the subject:

In a nutshell, the EVH has two modes. One mode sounds just like the reissue Phase 90, the other is more vintage, but neither sounds exactly like an original 70s Phase 90. I've decided I'm going to order one of those Build Your Own Clone kits instead!

I've thought about that too..but I can't assemble one of them myself (I don't have the proper knowledge to do things like that), but if I knew somebody who could help me doing it, I would order one of them..

Neither do I, but I'm not going to let a trivial detail like that stop me.

Seriously, I've done very little soldering other than replacing pickups, but I have the soldering equipment and I thought I'd like to give one of those kits a try.

Better to start with a low voltage pedal before I fry myself trying to build an amp. :eek1:

You're right, it would be a cool project, but since I am a young guy, with school and no job, I can't afford to do it wrong, because then I'll have to wait some time before I can afford a new one.

All of my orginal stuff is all me. I usually make my beats using loops and play everything else myself.

I don't have any clips to post, but I wanted to say that, I use a phase-shifter a LOT, and I had a Phase-90 for many years. I also spent a really long time with the designer of the EVH version at NAMM, and he walked me thru EVERYTHING that thing did, and, needless to say, it blew me away. I absolutely loved it. Since I use a different phase shifter that I like a lot, I'm staying with it, but I would buy one of those EVH ones in a nano second if I were looking for one. It's very cool.
