Clips with a 490R in a Howard Roberts Fusion

Re: Clips with a 490R in a Howard Roberts Fusion

Well, if you don´t like it, others seems to do. That tune is now number 4 on the jazz fusion list thay have at Soundclick - and that list has some 5 400 songs (!)

Sounded good to me. Was the 490R used for the whole song?

Listening to it now. Sounds nice. Give me a rundown of your gear. Thanks.

1, Yes, I use only the 490R pickup in that song. As you know Gibson advertise those pickups as having "modern singing upper mids", so I often have the tone control at 8 -still there is treble enough.

2, It´s a "live" recording in our rehearsing local, so I use the clean channel of my Fender Blues Deville. That´s too clean, so I have a Boss Overdrive3, a touch of a Boss Chorus1 and a Boss DigitalDelay3 and also the reverb in the amp for that tune.

You can of course go to my bands soundclick place, where there is another tune called Czesnici, with the same guitar and the same setting. The guitar solo in that tune is the laid back avantgarde style I like to play:
