Clone Guitars #004…Major 80’s flashback…
WARNING some will love this some will hate it some will be 50/50 on it…if you don’t like it it’s fine by me since I do (see signature LOL)…but please be respectful and move along, no need for negative posts!!
Now on to the fun stuff…
The body for Clone #004 arrived today from my painter. I opened the box and was floored, this kandy pink is INSANE in person, my pics do it no justice at all, it’s got a nice amount of metal flake to it and is real deep and rich in person. The body for this project is a 1pc mahogany Wayne body…hence the funky Wayne style control layout and not the typical Charvel placement of knob and toggle that I usually use. It’s actually real comfortable where it is and never in the way. The neck is a nice clean grain ¼ sawn maple and the back shape is very similar to my real Wayne #248 which is great since I love that neck! 15” radius, 1 11/16” nut, 2 ¼” heel. Original floyd rose trem, Gotoh tuners, CTS 500K pot, all black toggle switch, Dimarzio FRED in the bridge and Duncan Hot Rails in the neck…actually makes a great combo from the little test playing I did to test it out. The guitar is still not 100% done, it needs to go to my luthier for the usual fret level and dress all the Clones get and then she’ll be rockin’ I figured since it was all together now I’d snap some pics for you guys!!
*edit* guitar now has a duncan JB in the bridge.
Well, say hello to Clone #004 aka Pinky…
the color is a much more rich and deep metallic/candy pink that is hard to get pics of. it's actually darker too. i'll take some outside tomorrow if anyone wants to see it better/more true to what it is in person.
OUTDOOR PICS...this is a bit closer to the actual color but still off a bit...man this thing is a pain to take pics of LOL...
