Interesting, perhaps I will try out an A3 JB in the neck and see what happens. Perhaps an underwound JB may be a step up as well for my tastes.

I haven't tried the Wolfgang Neck myself, so I'm not going to speak for that.

But the JB in the bridge with the stock A5 is super dark in the neck. Unusably so, IMO, and that's even coming from someone who prefers not to have overly bright neck pickups (like the Jazz). The thing is I wouldn't expect an A3 to fix a JB in the neck because the problem with the JB in that position is not that it's too bassy, it's just that it's really dull.

But I suspect the Wolfgang Neck is a different thing altogether. People seem to like it.

I've got a Jim Wagner Ironman Neck pickup that is 18K ceramic. It is clear as a bell. Works wonders as a bridge too. I currently put an A2 in it and am thowing in in a super strat soon.
