Coffin BDFX-1 Blood Drive & Marshall Guv'nor

Anyone here use this Coffin pedal? What kind of stuff is it good for? I'm more a classic rock, hard rock blues, progressive and most metal except for the hardest 7 string type (I like it, I just suck at it).

As far as the Guv'nor, same question plus is there REALLY that big a difference between the original black unit and the newer metal colored one?

Thanks everyone.

Thank you sir. Question...since I already have the Plexitone, would the Guv'nor be different enough that it's worth the purchase? I've been using the Plexitone when I've got the amp pretty low volume and kinda clean but I wanted a pedal to use to give the Marshall a different tone at times and to give solos the oomph they need. I've got a modded TS7 and it's pretty good for the leads, but not so good for chords. The Plexitone on top of cranked Marshall would just give me more Marshall, lol.

Yeah? Sounds cool. Thanks Neils. Anyone have an opinion on that Coffin?

Have you seen the Guitar World review of it? I thought it sounded great.... absolutely nothing like you'd expect. It sounds nothing like it looks.

Check youtube for the GW thing.

+1 on the Guitar World, it seems far more versatile than it would seem with a name lke Blood Drive.
