coil split JB?

right, i recently got a fender jd tele that was modified by its revious owned for a humbucker (namely a duncan jb)
i was wandering how close to a tele/strat sound coil tapping the humbucker would be? as it would be pretty cool to have a more stratty/tele (the neck pickup is a strat singlecoil) sound in addition to the usuall rock from the jb?

A split JB is pretty darn close to the real thing, IMO. I had one split in the neck of a les paul, and it was very stratty.
