Combining a P90 and bucker

I have an Epi Les Paul that I want to experiment with. If I put a Phat Cat in the neck and keep a Duncan Alnico II Pro bucker in the bridge, will they be out of phase?

Welcome to the forum.

The Phat Cat and APHb will be in phase with each other. you will have to keep the neck Phat Cat pretty low and the APHb set pretty high to get a good balance, but it should be a pretty cool sounding combo.

i have 2 guitars with humbucker sized p-90's, a '79 "the paul" with a Harmonic designs z-90 neck and SD Custom in the bridge, and a tele with a phat cat neck and lil '59 bridge.

p-90 variant in the neck paired with a bridge bucker is my favorite combo. rock out rooster style with the bridge and everything from rich glistening clean to screaming vocal solos with the 90.

never run into any problems so far!
