i thought you needed the neck faster than that...one year, that's a long ass wait for just a neck...plus the guy is out of the coutry so you have to hope you like it when it's all said and done b/c lord knows how long it would take to send it back have it changed (if needed) and get it back. either way it should be a cool project and i'll be sure to follow the progress!

Well, I guess it may actually be maple! When I bought it, the dealer told me it was mahogany with a maple top! The only way to be sure is to sand down the body edge! I know that Lynch's K4 has that set-up. In the photos of the sanded down version, you can plainly see the maple top's edge against the mahogany body on the forearm cutout! I guess ESP didn't see any reason to curve the maple cap to cover the entire body. Who's ever going to see it, right? Thanks George!

That said, my K4 is very bright- I have to turn the treble knob waaaay back on my Soldano. I have to say that my Haji with the Honduran mahogany body sounds best to me. Nice well rounded almost vocal-like notes with singing sustain. Maybe I 'Just got Lucky' with that one, huh?

The saw blade h/s was kind of a jip! Lynch's is a sawblade reverse Jackson headstock! The version they did is a sawbladed ESP pointy headstock. Guys, can I get my money back? George also has Japanese Kanji fretmarkers on the neck. The characters correspond to what fret they're on (7,9,12...). The screaming blue guy sticker is from a Japanese cartoon- they dealer I bought it from said he'd have his cousin send one to me. I'm still waiting!

I'm afraid you confused two seperate posts, Mike. The Wayne neck will be a 1 yr wait. The Gajik neck will be ready in a couple of weeks!!

Laz's customer service is second to NONE. As for the quality of his products, several guiarists I admire and know are pleased as punch with his work, so I see no reason why I would be less so. And these guys also have a much more direct connection to Lynch than anyone else I've encountered outisde of J Frog, himself.

I wouldn't call the Kamikaze 4 mass produced. This isn't a Fender Stratocaster we're talking about!
The fret finishing alone on my Lynchs is amazing, as you would attest to, I'm sure. I've yet to see an 'off the shelf' guitar that can compete with the fit and finish of an ESP Signature or Custom guitar.

This reminds me of the VA-based old school metal band, October 31 (great band, I might add). We toured with them a couple of Summers ago, and they took to calling me "George" ... I guess Southerners find that to be 'comedy'
