Coming Soon! Pedal Shootout / Comparison

Re: Coming Soon! Pedal Shootout / Comparison

Again - you guys are spying on my screen!

- I am using a looper
- There is a very brief clean check before going deep
- details on the rig are at the end, not excessive up front
- AND EVEN using PAF's vs mega output humbuckers!
- Plus addressing pet peeves which you guys are all mentioning in a bonus end section
- And the Ola Eglund ending

No Scooby do ending ....yet

Re: Coming Soon! Pedal Shootout / Comparison

Hey - this is a STELLAR production. I'm not just throwing three pedals on the floor and jamming.

Scripted, multiple shots, retakes, editing, final production, etc...Some is in the can. More to go.

Re: Coming Soon! Pedal Shootout / Comparison

I like what this guy does a lot...but not what I'm gonna do

Re: Coming Soon! Pedal Shootout / Comparison

priced accordingly

the Waza seemed the most versatile
the Phat one was second best
the BB was classic
and the Moorer was not quite up to the tone
but close for a budget
no one would notice on a stage with a full band

Re: Coming Soon! Pedal Shootout / Comparison

The real question is will Dr. Bob crash Steve Dallas’ demo to drop some double blind study facts...

Steve Dallas is only referenced. He does not make an appearance. Might have an ending slot.

Re: Coming Soon! Pedal Shootout / Comparison

Having some challenges getting a camera person...

Re: Coming Soon! Pedal Shootout / Comparison

That’s why you need to setup three, a wide angle, a closeup and a pedal cam, then just run all three and cut between.

(Says the guy that has produced exactly 0 gear videos :chairfall)

Re: Coming Soon! Pedal Shootout / Comparison

I guess the audience at a gig will hear the nuances between the regular bd-2 and the pricey one if they were to be used in a song from VH1.

No one is buying any of this gear for the drunken audience at the gig. Ace has said before, and I agree 100%, show up, put on a good show playing the parts 90% correct and only the 2 nerds in the back will care that you’re using a GT6 into a PA. We do gear nerding for us!

Sometimes part of that show is a big half/full stack though...

Re: Coming Soon! Pedal Shootout / Comparison

Working with an iPad and an iPhone.

Spent my GoPro money on pedals!

I'm an old man. Mesa head and quarter stack. Still on-brand, yet not excessive or requiring a chiropractor...
