Comparing size of Woody soundhole pickups

Hiya all, Wondering if the Woody XL and HC pickups install as easily as the single coil SC does? I have the SC here, but photos of the other two make them seem quite a bit thicker. Do those other two slide in under the strings as easily as the SC does? ha, dumb question probably. :)

Welcome to the forum!

From what I can tell, the Woody HC & XL is 7.09 x 3.54 x 1.57", while the single coil version is 6 x 3 x 1". The HC & XL are about 1/2" thicker but in the middle, not on the ends. They are shaped more like a T than a flat bar. Unless the soundhole is really super shallow, you shouldn't have an issue getting any of them under the strings.

All Woody pickups will fit soundholes from (3.75″ (94mm) to 4.0″ (100mm).

Jeepers, I just noticed those measurements you mentioned for the single coil are WAY off.
I just measured mine here, it is: 4 and 1/4" long, 1 and 3/16" deep, and only 1/2" deep

Well, hell, I got that online since I don't have one here....maybe they mean the packaging? It is weird to me that I had to go to a few outside sites for those measurements. While I have used all 3, I hadn't had all 3 in my hand at once.
All were just as easy to get in and out of a soundhole, though.

yup i figured that, musta been packaging or something. That's fine, I got the overall idea, and ordered an XL. thanks again :)

ha, ok will do. Well the SC model here sounds flippin awesome, I am stunned how great it is, way way way above my expectation for this technology
