Comparison between regular hbckers/single coil szd humbs

I am considering the possibility of using instead of a regular humbucker a single coil sized humbucker in one of my strats. My main concern is that i don't want to loose that classic humbucker sound and i do not want to loose in output either.

So considering the fact that the Hotrails (for example) are 16.90K and the JB 16.4K will the HR have a higher ouput guaranteed by the higher dc resistance or a lower output due to the fact it picks up a shorter string length due to its smaller size?

Are single coil sizes humbucker equivalent to a regular humbucker outputwise?

It's been a while since I compared them in the same guitar but I remember the Hot Rails being a little louder than the JB JR. I could be wrong...it's been a few years. Lew

Thanks for the responce but i didn't mean to compare the JBjr with the Hot rails.......what i was comparing is the behavior of a regular humbucker (like the JB SH4) vs a single coil sized humbucker like the HOT RAILS :

The full size humbucker always will sound "wider" and "bigger" and louder.

For one thing, the two colis of a full size humbucker will sense a wider area of the string than a Strat sized minihumbucker.

And since the coils of the Strat sized mini humbucker are smaller the windings are differant and the guage of the wire used will be thinner to allow for more turns of wire around the coil.

Also the magnet will be smaller in the mini and it's usually ceramic to get a little more out of it than the alnico normally used in a full sized humbucker.
