Completed Demo..

Re: Completed Demo..

I liked it.

I think the acoustics should be double tracked, one each speaker to fill it out a little, the one on its side sounded a little thin.

I love the clean lead work, very smooth :) very nice tone too

Theres one out of key note on the acoustic solo at the start but its not that bad.

the vocals are alright nothing awful there, i might turn up the harmonies a bit though that "all thats left theres not a trace" part

your bassist sounds pretty good.

rock on man :headbang: im looking forward to the next tracks :)

Re: Completed Demo..

Soundclick isn't res'ing up! D'oh!
I will try to download it in a little while.
Can't wait to hear it!! :D

Re: Completed Demo..

Remember this aint my band, Tho my wolfie appeared on a few tracks..

Nuni, the original plan for that one was to have a acoustic sittling in the middle but obviously they had other plans..I wasnt around for the final mix so they mixed differently to what i had it and panning and such but not a bad mix i thought, That was recored with a like €3000 Martin acoustic direct to the fostex, and i love the tone too...

And yes the little acoustic bit at the start is off..:laugh2: but that ain't my fault.. Funnily tho i never actually met their bassist, he live a good bit away and i wasnt there for the days we recorded with him, he did bass for most songs bar 2 or 3..

On one of the songs titled "Alone at Night", Excellent song IMO but they destroyed with too much Gating and Compresson with the dbx comp/gate we borrowed..It sounds like a drunken Dimebag Darrell came over one night and rerecordede the guitars, and the whole song is as dead as, something thats dead i guess?

Oh and thats probobly the only song that that singer actually didnt sounds that bad, but the rest that he sings on really dont sound good, the other singer derek is quiet a singer..

Ill post another 2 in a while as i upload em'

Re: Completed Demo..

Ok just added 2 more(uploading the second one as we speak

the song " In "D" ", i think there might be another name for it but not that i know of , called so because it is in the key of d..this song is sung by derek and im sure you will like it..

the next song "The Epic" , i dunno where that name came from but it is a longish song so i guess they went on that..This starts off with derek then Barry joins in..

Tell me your thoughts..

Re: Completed Demo..

I like "Listen to Your Fears" and "In D". I like the Derek guy better than the other singer. Nice stuff, though.

I have to agree :laugh2:

Also i must mention in "the epic" there wa about 5 time and signature changes so we recorded em speratly on the same track but each part 2 bars apart, you might notice that i messed up twice on joining them as i forgot to press to undo button after i moved it wrong and overwrote soem of it :smack:

And i did it twice! :smack: :smack:

I thought maybe that was some sort of experimental progressive rock move or something. ;)

I think that this is very cool sounding; Not a bad job at all, Steve!! :D
I wish there was more panning, or stereo effects, which is necessary on a pop tune like this, but I'm very impressed.
