Concept to finished product

I had a bunch of parts laying around. I used the guitar modeler and made one that I really like. The paint is true nitro PPG Robin's Egg Blue (same used on 55-58 chevys with SD SSL-1 pickups, Switchcraft jack, switch and 250K pots, push back wire and that is a 22 fret CIJ maple neck. The body is poplar. It also has Jazz/Light strings so it has that 60's vibe to it sound wise. It's a player, it's a keeper!

The only things I had to buy were the plastic chrome looking parts...

Wow!! That is sooooo sweet!!! If it sounds as good as it looks...you've got a monster tone machine on your hands! Great job!!

That looks really slick.
One Q though, you said it had 3 SSL-1s so, why do they look like lipsticks with pole pieces?
Did you use some kind of bobbin toppers or sth like that?

In the concept drawing I used lipstick PUP's as they didn't have chrome covers.

They are regular PUP covers with chrome/plastic coating on them.

I would have put 3 SLS-1 Lipstick PUP's in if I already didn't have this...
