Confused.......Custom, JB, Duncan distortion......

could you please order the above pickups based on their output from the one with the highest output to the one with the lowest?

Basically it's the custom that confuses me as i was thinking that the ceramic magnet would compensate for the lower dc resistance, making the custom a higher output pickup than the JB?

I'm gonna say:

1. Distortion
2. JB
3. Custom

But I have not tried all three in the same guitar...and I think they're all pretty close in terms of output.

And I'm sure this isn't right, but it might be close to put things in the big perspective. Everyone out there - feel free to correct:

Low (standard)-
Seth
59's
Pearly Gates
A2P's

Medium (plus)-
Custom
Custom Custom
Demon

High (hot) -
Dimebucker
JB
Distortion
Invader

The Custom, JB & Dustortion are all pretty close in output, but I agree with Lew.

"technically", if you measure DC resistance as output the Distortion is highest, the JB next, and then the Custom. But because of the ceramic magnets, what you hear would be that the Distortion still has the most out put, but the Custom is next, and the JB last.
