Converting A Keyboard Amp Into An Acoustic Guitar/PA Amp....................

Years ago, a friend who is a solo player gave me a Peavey KB 100 amp. 3 simultaneous channels, bad reverb, 15 inch woofer, piezo horn tweeter. The tweeter had long ago failed. I removed the tweeter and enlarged the hole and installed a JBL 2105H vintage speech range speaker. I am waiting for a hole saw that I ordered to install a bullet super tweeter horn and a 3 way crossover network.

The ranges are: Woofer 20 Hz - 800 Hz
Midrange 800 Hz - 7000 Hz
Super Tweeter 7000 Hz - 25,000 Hz

Should sound really good.

I'd love to post pics here, but never seems to work for me. I belong to other forums, but for photos, this one gives me grief. Someday I may upgrade the woofer to something a little more hefty.

My friend plays live acoustic blues and used to play at Downtown Disney on a regular basis. He played many blues festivals here in the southland and abroad. Steve Vai bought one each of his' CDs and told him he's good. Anyway, I remember when my friend used this amp live and it was certainly loud enough and captured his' acoustic guitar and vocals well.

I had one of those and it was a great multi-duty amp. I used it for keys, smaller PA stuff, acoustic guitar and I would plug my iPad into it for backyard parties. That thing really delivered. Do you have the 2x10 satellite speaker?

A keyboard amp pretty much is a PA, thus it is an Acoustic amp....
