Converting a tone pot to volume pot? and one pickup's Vol to a Master vol for both

I have a HH 5-way switching Strat with an SH^ in the bridge and a stock Fender alnico bucker in the neck. I recently resolved some issues with the Duncan install: https://forum.seymourduncan.com/sho...-distortion-put-in-Blacktop-Strat-(HH)-bridge

The pickup switching gives you a couple of "1-coil-from-each-bucker-at-same-time" options i.e. inner coils together or outer coils together.

I don't use tone controls much and would like to take my Master volume and 2 tone controls and make them instead into a Master Tone control and 2 vol controls (for each pickup obviously).

Does anyone know if I will run into problems doing this by simply swapping the appropriate cables, removing a capacitor etc? Any diagrams / guides out there for this particular mod? I'm wary of how confused I will get on my own once I start staring at that damn superswitch and all the cables to/from it

Thanks

I forgot to explain: my reason for wanting to do this would be in order to be able to use a "both inner coils" or "both outer coils" pickup selector position but turn ONE pickup's volume off in order to have just one single coil's sound as an option too. As it stands I can only turn off the volume for both pickups together.

It's easy. Find a diagram for a Fender Jazz bass and follow that. If you follow the wiring for Gibson type volume controls they won't be independent and turning one off will silence both pickups.

I re-wire my Strats to have a master tone and get rid of one tone and move the volume pot to the middle tone pot because the volume is always in my way.
